Why we use it
We use your information to save and review your enquiry, prepare an indicative assessment, communicate with you, organise documents, protect the service and improve the Lux Migration customer journey.
- To respond to your enquiry and provide requested information.
- To create and maintain your LM profile and assessment record.
- To connect you with an expert counsellor or an independent provider when you request this and the relevant consent has been obtained.
- To meet legal, security, audit and record-keeping obligations.
Assessment limits
Automated or rules-based results on this website are indicative only. Optional identity questions such as gender or religion are not used to score, rank or decide a pathway result.
Who may receive information
We use service providers that help host the site, store records, protect uploads and deliver email. They should receive only the information needed for their role. We do not sell personal information.
- Lux Migration personnel who need access for their work.
- Technology, hosting, storage, security and email providers acting for LM.
- An independent counsellor, education or coaching partner only where relevant to your request and consent.
- Regulators, authorities or professional advisers where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Storage and retention
Assessment records are scheduled for review after two years unless a longer period is needed for an active service, legal obligation, dispute or security purpose. Uploaded documents may have a different operational retention period, which will be confirmed as the document workflow is finalised. Information may be processed or stored outside New Zealand by contracted technology providers, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access to or correction of personal information held about you. You may also withdraw optional marketing consent or ask about deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. Contact comms.luxmigration@gmail.com with the subject Privacy Request.
- You can choose not to provide optional profile information.
- You can ask how a result or recommendation was produced.
- You can complain to LM and, where applicable, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand.
Security and contact
